What is a Class 3 Mobility Scooter?
Class 3 Mobility Scooters can be used on both the road and pavement. The maximum speed limit of these vehicles is 4mph on the pavement and 8mph on the road. You must be 14 years old or over to drive a Class 3 Mobility Scooter.
How fast does it go?
The Cabin Car can travel up to 8mph. It has two speed modes; Low (up to 4mph) for use on the pavements and High (up to 8mph) to be selected when driving on the road.
Do I need a driving licence or road tax?
Mobility scooters are not legally defined as vehicles and therefore you do not need a driving licence or to pay road tax. You still need to register your Cabin Car with the DVLA by completing a simple application form. This is included in the Welcome Pack. You must also be 14 years of age or older to legally operate the vehicle.
What colours does it come in as standard?
Our Standard Colours are crafted to the highest levels of quality in our ‘Smartshop’ and are currently Night Blue, Stone Grey, Cherry Red and Glacier White.
What are the standard features available?
As the only mobility scooter on the market to feature an Interior Heater, Remote Central Locking, Reversing Camera & Rear Parking Sensors, you will not be surprised to hear that there are so many others too.
My limited mobility means that I find it difficult to look over my shoulder to reverse – does the Cabin Car have a feature to help me with this?
The full colour LCD screen built into the rear-view mirror displays live images from the reversing camera, offering you all-round crystal-clear visibility.

How do I clear my windscreen when it steams up?
Just like driving a real car, the powerful Interior Heater’s vents are specifically directed at the front windscreen to ensure you can travel safely, and with full visibility no matter the weather.
I need somewhere to put my shopping – is there enough space for this?
Absolutely – there are two options, behind the Luxury Captain Seat or on the rear parcel shelf. If you would like a dedicated and secure space, why not consider configuring your Cabin Car with the convenient Lockable Rear Box.
