Understanding Pressure Redistribution Technology

At Mobility World, we specialize in Tissue Viability. A pressure care mattress works by increasing the surface area in contact with the body, thereby reducing the "load" on bony prominences like the heels, sacrum, and shoulders. Our Opera collection features vapour-permeable, multi-stretch covers that reduce shear and friction while keeping the skin cool and dry.

What is "Castellated" Foam?

Our static foam mattresses, such as the Ultimate Profiling model, feature foam cut into individual cells. This "castellation" allows the foam to move independently as the profiling bed moves, ensuring the mattress doesn't "bridge" and maintains full contact with the user’s body for better support.

The Advantage of Auto-Weighing Pumps

Standard air mattresses require manual adjustment based on user weight. Opera’s Auto-weigh technology (found in the Flo and Impulse ranges) takes the guesswork out of care, automatically sensing the user’s weight and adjusting the air cell firmness to prevent "bottoming out."
